A Haute Spot

Well, if you read my post from yesterday...I made it work...the hubby rescheduled our romantic dinner for earlier in the night and I was off to my rehearsal afterwards...we have something special planned for the weekend, but we were able to share an incredible meal...and since we LOVE this restaurant MUNDO and know the incredible chef and his team, I was able to get a CLEAN version of the BEST chicken and mushrooms in town...alongside my iced tea and my hubby the night was great...we exchanged our small but thoughtful presents while I read him one of my infamous poems...it was nice. After rehearsal I came home to our puppies who were waiting for their Valentines Day Love Bugs...they have been chillin on the counter for a week and Sampson new they were there...so you can imagine their excitement when I squeezed their butts, the love bugs that is...and let them run wild! The kitties got some treats and the whole family was satisfied. Hope you guys had an amazing night and have an amazing weekend! So excited about a video shoot tomorrow! Will be sharing on Instagram! Stop and Smell the Roses

Well, Happy Valentines Day everyone!!! I gotta say, this day has always been an interesting one...mostly full of searching for something red or pink to wear only realizing I don't own anything even remotely close to those colors and making appointments for a piercing, in my ear of coarse, my belly button is pierced but that was it...don't get any ideas. Anyway, what I am trying to say is...I have never really held this holiday very high, if you can even call it a holiday, and the only person in my life that did was my mom...she was always so excited to get us small boxes of chocolates, and heart shaped anything. I never really thought twice about it until she wasn't here to do that anymore.

And then I realized, MAN, I really miss getting those silly overpriced bears that sometimes sing songs when you press their belly. I had planned a rehearsal this evening not even thinking that my hubby would have something planned...I mean..I did get him something and I had my own plans...in MY HEAD, but we never actually communicated anything until last night, when he said you better be ready at 5:30...and I was like...ummm ok but I have rehearsal...and there it was...that look...that

" I CAN'T BELIEVE you planned something on VALENTINES DAY" look..

I mean last year we went to Del Taco and ordered a spicy chicken burrito and went to Ross...don't get me wrong...TOTALLY my favorite things to do..prior to my Eat Clean Routine...have you tried the DEL SCORCHO at Del Taco...but I just didn't think he had anything planned...and then it hit me...maybe I do like this holiday and I have somehow managed to get on the "I HATE this heart day" train like all those haters out there...thinking I was cool all anti-day of love and spouting out " EVERYDAY should be heart day yadda yadda I'm wearing BLUE" only realizing that everyday is just any day..and we don't stop to SMELL the Roses literally...I was stopped alright....last night when I realized that MY VALENTINE had actually planned something for us...ughhhh....I'm so thankful for those moments...where you get SLAPPED in the face with the fact that you are moving way too FAST and you need to take a step back. So for all you lovers and haters and everyone in between...Happy Valentines Day...cause sometimes we need a Hallmark holiday to remind us to Smell the Roses...

Strength, Boudoir, and a Dream

This beautiful lady is Mrs. G from Colorado, and her story is both touching and all to close to home for a lot of us. I was so excited to share her story when Stacie and the Haute Shots team told me that they could now share a sizzle reel that they had worked on almost one year ago. While the dream of making this a television show has not come to be, YET...you can read about it HERE, man is there a story to tell...while some are fun and funny...this one is touching in more ways than one. I know I am always saying how this boudoir spokes model gig has changed my life, and I am sure most of you just roll your eyes and maybe don't  understand it...but watch this video...and I promise you will be motivated and touched in a way that hopefully will inspire you to reach deep inside and always exude that confidence we all have within us...and heck...Valentines Day is right around the corner!

FRIDAY. The end of the week...the beginning of that calm you get when you realize you aren't able to do anymore and you must relax...and focus on you..your family...your children...or in our case our animals...Fridays are normally my busiest days at work, my clients and I are typically rushing to get things done and take care of their employees, I am an employee benefits broker by day by the way and I work with an incredible company called Orgill/Singer & Associates...Health Care is a touchy subject...and I am so honored to be able to help everyone feel comfortable with their health care and feel protected in a world that often times feels a little scary.  Oh and I get to work with my dad...and I LOVE it.

On the other hand...I am absolutely thrilled about this weekend! The hubby and I are going to our premiere tonight for our Short Film, ACTION!ACTION!, Please like my hubby's facebook page for his production company Black Raven Films HERE you can also see our movie post and trailer on there!...it will only take a second... he gets so excited when someone likes it, we love what we do, and he is so passionate about this! 

Tomorrow also marks my first fitting with the incredible designer Louisa Voisine of Louisa Voisine Millinery... I will talk more about that, but if you follow me on Instagram I will be posting some pics from our fitting, she is an incredible designer and I will be walking in her show in April!!! I promise there will be a whole blog post dedicated to this but I am SOOO excited I can't even stand it. After that I will head over to Haute Shots Boudoir Photography here in Vegas for a photo shoot with the oh so talented Stacie Frazier and her team! 

NOW. Who said DREAMS don't come true? They do I tell ya...and as I always say...if they don't seem to be working out the way you want it...then MAKE them work out...you can create what it is you want...I PROMISE!  well, unless you want to be the President of the United States, but even then you could start your own YouTube channel and call yourself the president...haha see!

These jeans are amazingly weird and I was so excited to visit my first Madewell.I am a thrifter by heart so I didn't think I would be getting anything though I was inspired by the clothing...so simple with a twist...anyway the hubby agreed to go with me and I immediately found myself upstairs in the Sale section...everything was an additional 30% which was more my speed and I grabbed these babies and ran to the fitting room...my husband made a weird face and then told me...those are totally you...definitely interesting...haha yes...I love me something interesting...and I loved how they fit too...they have them online right now for sale and they may have an additional sale as we get closer to Spring so look out! So for all those women who love them some Madewell I now know why...hoping to visit another soon...and now I have me some snake printed pants that I will be wearing a lot the rest of this winter and upcoming spring....Do you guys like the whole printed jeans thing?

Have you guys ever just woke up one day and decided that you wanted to re-decorate...or in my case FINISH your home...but like as soon as possible...I go through these weird phases where I don't want to touch anything and then all of a sudden I am on the hunt again...maybe I just like the hunt...but I made a promise with my sister that each month we would help each other finish a project...doing something with someone else seems to be effective for me so we shall see how it goes..I have been pinning the crap out of things and I am totally inspired..I have some amazing thrifted and vintage pieces in my home I have been dying to update so here we go!!! I am also looking forward to some really exciting projects coming up. I can't wait to tell you, two of them are this Saturday!!! DREAM. COME. TRUE. I'm making my hubby film a lot of these things...so I can really remember them...or watch them whenever I get down...I encourage you to do this...it really helps to keep you in check!
