One Room Challenge WEEK 2 KIDS BATHROOM: Sometimes you just need to change direction! TILE IS IN!

Well, If you are new here you wouldn't know how absolutely devastated I was when I came home to find the tile in the bathroom was well NOT what I was expecting. I had specified the grout lines and the direction and sadly...the grout was so much bigger than I had asked and while it is not the end of the world, I know, my vision was well thwarted. SO I sat for a while and had an idea. Here is the room I am speaking of.

See. It's beautiful...just NOT what I had designed. SO, changing direction. Since this is a different room...what if I just changed the direction? So this is the room with the vanity...and while I was going to do the herringbone, this tile hand made in Spain just isn't going to get me that thin grout line I want since the ridges are all different. 

So we played with going horizontal...but not subway. Just horizontal stacked!

and within a week I just made an executive decision along with Daniel of coarse. 

and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

and I don't even care about the shower anymore haha

So... what do you think? Would you change the direction? Make your own rules? Who cares! I think that is why I LOVE this process!! Oh and I added the knobs and handles from West Elm for now  I kind of like the classic look of them since we will be adding some funky elements soon!!!! Ok Stay tuned for Week 3...
