Shoes: Joey Savers, Pants: Banana Republic Savers, Necklace: Savers, Jacket: H&M, Shirt: H&M

I am officially over it...haha Photographer Extraordinaire asked me to pose and here is what I did for a good 5 minutes until I snapped out of it...oh and I also forgot my camera again...I'm getting on my own nerves! I mean I look like I am selling watches on the street corner in one of these pics...haha The other one is a fish face in case you were wondering..haha
Day 29Day 28
Day 28Day 28

So I first want to apologize for such  a deep post on Friday...I guess I didn't intend to do that it just went that way...so I promise this post is strictly about fashion, my silliness, and perhaps a little whining. As I wind down I have many thoughts about this shirt that I never wore prior to this challenge...I really love it..I love how I can be all boring and get ready for work and put this top on and I am feeling so happy and colorful...I also love my jewelry, I have a lot of it and I really have loved my accessories even more after this challenge...there were days I would decide I was wearing a certain piece and my outfit would center around that...I swear..if you are ever stuck and you just can not decide what to wear..pick earrings or a necklace, a statement piece, and then go from there. It is amazing how your brain switches and starts pairing different colors and items you would have never thought..i.e. this chunky necklace! In this case, simple was better..

Our weekend was great minus the 20 degree drop in temperature and crazy winds. Went out on Saturday night and had a blast...felt like I was 21 again...except when I woke up...I felt 31....and a little guilty haha Finished a dresser with my sister, the first of many projects we are doing to help bring color into her home and revamp some old furniture before and after pics coming soon!

Have a wonderful Monday!

Happy St. Patty's Day! what...haha ok I suck...I was doing so good too...I have been very busy in a great way and I love what I do...but I have had no time to post anything. So this was my ode to St. Patrick...let's face it..I'm a Moroccan Jew who lives in Vegas...not a whole lotta irish in me..but I love the Irish and I love holidays! I also love this scarf that I have never worn but found at a thrift shop and knew that one day I would wear it...It was funny I walked into work and my photographer extraordinaire said "Did you give up on your 30x30 challenge?" so I said "No, why?" and she said "cuz you're not wearing the right clothes!" Ummm yes I am...all of this is from my 30x30! I can't believe it..I managed to fool photographer with my re-mixing skills! It was the scarf that threw her off I know it! haha

So I had Torah study this week..I love it...at first I was so not excited..not because I don't love the Torah or that I don't want to go...it's just after work...I wanna go to the gym then go home...but once a month we have a group of us that get together, meet with a rabbi and talk about life, death, love, and everything in between.

This week I was exceptionally tired...maybe it was the gala I had on Sunday, or the stupid time change that still makes me mad whenever I look at my car clock which I still have not changed...anyway...this week we discussed Purim, which is Saturday, and we talked about CHALLENGES. You know...challenges...we all have them...Sometimes I feel like I have more and sometimes I am blessed, but all in all we all have something we have to face. Well, I asked the Rabbi why it is that certain things happen? Why did my mom pass away so young? Why did my grandpa have a stroke? Why do people hurt people? What is inside of them to hate so much? We talked about our MISSION...our mission in life...that when someone passes they have served their purpose in this lifetime...while it may be sad for us...they have done what they needed to do. So then I asked him, when do we know that we have served our mission in life? and then..with a sigh..and the rising of his arms..as most rabbi's do..."ahhh Shana, that is a good question...you will NEVER, know if you have met your MISSION in LIFE...." UMMM WHAT! how the heck am I suppose to know I am on the right path? REALLY>>>? Rabbi? You are supposed to tell me I am on the right path and tell me that everything will be ok..and that things happen for a reason!!! I was kinda pissed so I zoned out and started stuffing green olives in my mouth and mumbling under my breath...I shoulda went to the gym!! and then he said......

"The more challenging it is, the more important it is to do it... this will ensure that you found your mission in life...do everything possible with integrity and passion"

I literally stopped in my tracks...for some reason this really resonated in me and I just really thought to myself...this is what it is all about...it is what the 30x30 challenge was about...it's what learning calculus is all about...it's what death is about...and illness..and all of the sucky things we have to deal with. IF this is true then the most important day of our life is when we leave this earth...

so make everyday count....and if it sucks...wake up...and start all over again...

Happy Friday everyone!! Have a wonderful weekend! and thank you for all of your sweet comments and encouraging words!

Well, I first want to apologize for the photos..not only did I forget my battery for my camera, but I was pissed and you could totally tell. Photographer Extraordinaire brought me back to a safe place haha and busted out her Iphone...yep..these pics were taken with her iphone. They are actually not that bad! I am however running out of outfits, and even more so, business professional outfits...I mean I need to be in suits everyday so I am definitely pushing the line here. I do love this necklace though!!! I got it for my birthday from Jolana my good friend and favorite make up artist, you can check out some of her work here, anyway It almost looks like a tie and I love the shade of green! Did I mention how excited I am to be done with this..yeah I know..I did.

I wanted to thank everyone for their sweet comments...my linky share didn't work so great... If it wasn't for the lovely Amber it would be at 0 :O( Ok, I am going to start sharing some tricks to this thrifting and then in like one month I am going to post this linky share thingamob and there better be more people...I MEAN IT ! haha Thrifting does not mean, old, or dirty, or broken...it simply means finding things at a lower cost than you would normally and in my eyes a find! I mean a find can be $100 but if you feel like you discovered it make sit a find! While I love vintage I also love new...catching stores at the right time can be the most amazing thing..i.e.. me at H&M and all my recent finds..ok I am done yelling at you...haha sorry
Oh and can someone tell me why my veins look like they are gonna pop out of my skin eewww haha what the heck! ok, I am just glad this day is over :O)

Stay tuned as I will be sharing one of my secret products for my hair!! I'll give you a hint..it let's me not wash it for like 4 days...crap..now I just shared this with the world...anyway..it's pretty amazing and everyone should own it!

Ok now I am probably gonna break every blogger rule ever, but I want to keep this going, let's face it I am not used to this, I wish I had time to stop by at every blog there is and let them know how amazing they are and to visit, but I don't, so I am going to post this linky ALL WEEK! Yep...ALL WEEK it will be at the bottom of my posts...haha and thank you to Amber and Diane for being my only two partisipants ok, I am done pittying myself...Have a wonderful Tuesday!!

Photographer Extraoridnaires Vision did not start off as well as I would have hoped, here are a few of the first shots...haha let's just say the shopping cart was a little awkward at first...

Day 26

Day 26

It is Monday and I am ready to go! While the end result of this photo shoot is probably my favorite to date, it started off a little rocky, as you can see from the bloopers haha Photographer spotted this shopping cart and desert and I was immediately sold on the location. So we began and let's just say it was a little awkward until I just relaxed and had fun! I got this necklace at Kohl's...I know..Kohl's..I feel like I am the last person to discover this place. When I had first gone in there, this necklace was $54...umm what? Dana Buckman who are you and why are you charging $54 for this stupid clown necklace!!?! I then went back about 2 weeks later and there it was under all of the sale jewelry, marked down to $4...yeah that wasn't a typo...it was $4!!! Now while I was excited and immediately changed my mind from thinking it was a clown necklace to thinking of the possibilities of this necklace I realized something...if something can go from $54 to $4...does that mean it really is only worth $4. I really start to lose respect for brands that do this sort of thing. It's like Banana Republic...one day it's $180 then next day it's $20...anyway, that is probably one reason why I never buy full price. I mean do you really need it NOW versus two weeks later?

I will be posting a Thrifters Anonymous Link Up Shortly, would love everyone to participate! My shoes and my jeans were thrifted from Savers, and the shirt was on sale for $7, and my necklace was on sale for $4. This is a perfect example of a Thrifters Anonymous outfit, also take a look at the Thrifters Anonymous page for examples of other ideas and link ups if you are wondering!

Have a lovely Monday !!!

Day 25...5 more days...thank goodness. I am about done and I am sure you are about done listening to me tell you I am about done. Especially since everyone in the blogosphere finished like a week ago. I still love this dress and thought about how I could change this one up again. These pics did not have a clear vision but we found ourselves behind a lovely church. It was so peacefull and we loved the little bench and tree surrounding.

It's Sunday! We had a great weekend, not a whole lot of time for much, but I at least got some sleep. The weather has been beautiful and went for a quick hike with the pups. Hope you had a great weekend!!
