I am so exhausted! Is anyone else just super tired or is just me in this 31 year old body :O( Today was pretty hilarious...we decided to go for a coffee trip to get us amped for the afternoon, we sit down with our drinks and begin discussing our plan to bikini...you know the plan I am talking about..the plan that entails you running in your bikini..that is my goal in case you didn't know..it is like the ultimate exposure..I mean can you imagine running in Your bikini...? haha well maybe you guys..everyone is so small and petite..Gigantor over here has to work out and eat chicken and beans to get there...ok sorry I am rambling...back to the coffee break. We are sitting and talking and BAM a man's junk is sculpted right in front of our face. Spandex pants literally sculpting this mans junk...now I know...I really shouldn't be talking about it..but I have to make sure it doesn't happen again..To top it all off..literally...he was wearing a small tee showing off his belly button. ugghhh the worst part is we were talking about working out so there was nothing funny about it..and I just busted up...and then my friend started laughing and it was a mess...haha anyway...I would have taken a picture but it was way to close for comfort! so men..please don't wear spandex pants to local restaurants and/or coffee shops...You are not dancing...nor are you working out in these places...so COVER YOUR JUNK...When I can see the shape it is not a good thing..we called it snufalfualus..you know...similar to camel toe haha oh camel toe...ok enough with this post...I am sure I have created a visual you are not pleased with ..hopefully you are not eating..haha.

Anyway, I hope the rest of the week supplies me with much needed energy and inspiration for more fun outfits and lots o'work!

Day 10
Shoes: American Eagle Thrifted $4.50, Pants: Banana Republic Thrifted $6.50, Shirt: Old Navy, Belt: Thrifted, Earrings: Thrifted $1
I actually wore this on Saturday to one of my best friends daughters birthday. I will be posting pics, it was a Mickey Mouse themed party and we made some pretty cute and crafty things. It was so beautiful outside, I almost forgot it was still "winter" in Las Vegas, it gets to almost 40 degrees here, the problem is you are never prepared because the sun is shining and you are usually wearing short sleeves! I got a little excited! While we were at the  birthday party I realized that children really do grow up fast. I mean she was so small just one year ago, not being able to walk and talk..and now she is running everywhere and wishing everyone "Happy to You!!" My husband and I found ourselves sitting on the couch watching everyone chase, feed, clean, yell at their children. While I can't wait to have a baby I am definitely enjoying the time we have. It is such a blessing to be a parent and I can't wait to be a mom, but for now, I think I will stick to taking care of my 2 cats and 2 labs... I mean..they are my babies :O)

Husband is wearing: Hat: Mine Thrifted $.99, Shirt: Gap Thrifted $3, Tie: Mens Warehouse $10
Some people love candlelight dinners, some love chocolate, I on the other hand...love wine, Del Taco Spicy Chicken Burritos with Del Scorcho hot sauce, and walking through Ross and Walmart on this day of love. I have never been a fan of Valentines day...not that I don' t like to celebrate it... I used to get a piercing every year..haha on my ears..and my belly..I'm not that courageous! Anyway, Saturday night we went to Boulder City which is about 45 min. from home and went to a wine bar...we snacked on some cheese and then went to the brewery in Boulder to listen to a blues band...it was a great night, not necessarily Valentines night but a good date night if you will.

When I came home tonight (Valentines Day) this bear (Thrifted from the office :O) ) was sitting on the counter with this home made card..it was a picture of when husband proposed to me on the top of Mt. Haleakala in Maui, wasn't that sweet? he then told me to get in the car because he was taking me to dinner! When I saw him pull into the Del Taco parking lot I squealed! I don't eat fast food, and I rarely eat burritos...but this my friends..is worth the workout I will be doing tomorrow night. Topped with Del Scorcho...ughhhh no candle light dinner can beat it..and they are on sale right now! haha 2 for $4, he then drove up to Ross and Walmart, and we walked around and looked at all of the deals...don't worry I didn't go shopping...who would have thought no shopping for 30 days would be this difficult! I did get an US magazine though. Hope your Valentines Day was filled with things you love or at least some Del Scorcho :O)

Happy Valentines Day!

Shoes: Joey Thrifted, Tights: Betsy Johnson Marshalls, Skirt: Kenar, Shirt: Vintage Thrifted, Ring: Diomond bow Banana Republic, Bracelet: Gifted Thanks Grandma Alda!, Purse: Vintage Thrifted

What a beautiful day it was, and I love so many things about this shirt:
  1. It was $2.50 at Savers
  2. It has tulip sleeves!
  3. It ties in the front
  4. It has a peter pan collar
  5. It's RED!
Just so you know, that makes a great thrifted item...and if you look closely it was missing a button so when I wear it instead of sewing a buttom, I choose an earring and slip it in the hole...Works everytime!

Sorry for the delay!! I am really behind but I promise I will catch up. Thursday was a beautiful day as you can see by the sun! and yes I said Thursday I told you I was behind! Ok, so there is a story that comes with those dorky looking glasses I am wearing. So I have seen them worn by several people but when I saw them on Trashy Vintages Model Kim I was sort of in love...so I ran upstairs and searched through my stuff because I was certain I had something that would work...I mean for those of you who know me, know that I usually have everything haha I have the on set of a hoarder...you know like those people on TLC except minus the garbage haha anyway back to the glasses. So I searched and my husband said that he saw some glasses on the counter, so I looked...and VOILA! SECRET ALERT!  These glasses are 3D glasses...that I took  forgot to give back to the movie theatre...and here you are...the perfect nerd glasses..I just poked the lenses out haha anyway I am not wearing any Trashy Vintage pieces here but I will be immediately following this 30 x 30 challenge!!! and I will be wearing these glasses :O) hahaha

I would also like to announce my New Header, New Earrings Giveaway!!

Ok, you are reading this on Thursday, and it is actually 9:30pm on Wednesday. As you can see I was praying for the sun, it came out for a minute and then a dark cloud came over my head and got windy and FREEZING. I actually loved my outfit today. When I bought this top I was so excited and then I brought it home and my husband went..ummm yeah...not really a fan of that shirt! WHATEVER! I am realizing my husband doesn't like a lot of my clothes...actually let me re-phrase, he sometimes doesn't like the vintage pieces but once I put it together he gets it...it just take s awhile...he also doesn't like my "oskie woskie" skirt...haha I actually took the belt loops off of the skirt and raised it to my belly button! I say when you don't like a skirts fit then find another way to wear it. This skirt was starting to get big on me...which is always a good thing..so I made into a waisted skirt! By the way this purse is another I have never worn..I love it..it is old and dainty...I got it at Savers...like most of the items I am wearing..actually my shoes, my belt, my skirt, and my purse are ALL from Savers.

SALE ALERT: SAVERS SHOPPERS EVERYWHERE...MONDAY February 21 EVERYTHING In the store, ok not everything..no housewares, books or furniture...but ALL CLOTHES AND SHOES are 50% OFF! I repeat 50% OFF so GO TO SAVEhttp://www.savers.com/Promotions.aspxRS...Get up early and get in line...I will be giving some helpful hints and things you need to know before you go in an upcoming post...so stay tuned...Because these only come 4 times a year..and should be the best time of your life...I GUARANTEE it!

Anyway, today was a good day until I got a call from my dad after work saying my papa had another stroke. I'm not sure how I feel about it..he squeezed my hand and looked at me...his look telling me he knows I am there...it's hard to watch suffering...and sometimes I feel like I am watching all too often. It's hard to watch my dad watch his dad. All I know is..my papa is a strong man..and hope is what gets us through. So I will go to sleep and pray for his healing...hopefully things will be ok in the morning. Sorry to be such a bummer...

P.S.

Anyone Need A Tutor?

Day 6

DSC01650
Pants: Banana Republic (Thrifted) $6, Shoes: American Eagle (Thrifted) $4.50, Shirt: H&M $7, Belt: (Thrifted) $2, Scarf: QMode 1998! $3, Headband: Gifted Thank you Jolana!, Purse: PRADA (or BRADA haha ) Downtown L.A  $10, Lip Pencil: Mom's, Polish: Indoor Swapmeet $1, Jacket: Steve & Barry's (Thrifted) $5 IT was cold outside not part of the 30x30

So by request I have added how much everything is. My friend made a good point. There are so many thrift stores out there that are expensive..and I will have you know that anything over $10 is ridiculous as far as I am concerned (unless it is a true vintage piece that you MUST have Exhibit A). Some things are tough since I have had them forever, so I am estimating, but most thrifted items are from Savers, Goodwill, or Desert Industries in this 30x30, a lot of items I have owned and have never worn, because like you, I have made excuses..you know which excuses I am talking about...I'm not the right size to wear that, my job doesn't allow that, I don't have anywhere to go, it washes me out, I can't pull that off..yadda yadda...I really just got annoyed with myself..so I am excited..because I am here, and I must say these photo shoots just keep getting more and more fun! Though the spectators are pretty funny, I especially like my commercial for tutoring! haha If anyone needs a tutor...haha no but seriously.

I have also decided that I will be wearing all of my purses...ALL of them..since about 60% of them have dust on them and I never use them...so I will be doing my best to feature one of my amazing thrifted finds, cuz I must say I have some really fun bags and they have never been outside :O(

Lastly, I want to thank everyone for their encouragement and compliments. I just love all of the ladies I have met through this blog world and I love the support. I really encourage everyone to try this 30x30 remix, can you imagine if everyday was a challenge where you were rewarded for being creative, outrageous, and a risk taker. So, get out your lipstick that washes you out, the skinny jeans that are too tight on your thighs, and put on those 4 inch heels that squish your toes when you walk..cuz I must say..it feels darn good.

P.S.
