Have a wonderful weekend...I plan on NOT stressing out and SLEEPING IN! I think we're gonna do some filming in one of my favorite thrift stores...and maybe...just maybe...there will be a video for all of you thrifters on Monday :O)

New Day, New Shoes Challenge

So I got so many emails and messages about my idea to basically wear a new pair of shoes everyday for 30 days...While we have always focused on remixing our clothes, I often neglect my shoes...I know..I know...it's not like a REAL problem....but maybe I have too many....maybe I don't wear them cuz they are not comfortable...or maybe I just need to change it up to really appreciate what I have.

Either way, I will be wearing a new pair of shoes everyday starting OCTOBER 1, 2011...That's this Saturday...and if you guys want to join in on the fun and check out everyone's unused shoes ..haha add your blog page to the link in the page on the left titled New Day, New Shoe Challenge.....No rules really, just wear a new pair of shoes...cuz I know all of you have at least 30 pairs...who are we kidding...and if you only have 15 pairs then wear 15 for 15 days...

I am excited to WEAR my own shoes...and also excited to perhaps clean out some shoes that are either not fitting me properly...or just don't tickle my fancy anymore...My feet shrunk like 1/2 and inch...so if you guys wear size 10...you might be gettin some new shoes! haha

You know what you can't see in this photo? The fact that it was 100 degrees...and my toes...I need a serious pedicure...I used to make time to do it myself...but that time is no longer in existence...and if I do it before I go to bed, then I wake up stuck to my sheet...anyway..

I finally bought a garment rack and I have basically filled it up with clothes that will soon be available for anyone to shop...it's taking so long cuz I am finding it hard to part with things...I know..I know..I've said it before and will say it again...I am a HOARDER...and while my hoarding is consumed with clothes, shoes, and crafts...I would buy another house if I could and make it my closet...

but you know what else I noticed...when you have that much stuff you rarely wear it all...I literally have almost 100 pairs of shoes..but I find myself wearing the top 10 out of my closet..I think I will start a new challenge next month...new day, new shoe? hmmm oh and when it's not 100 degrees I will also wear my hair down more haha

We're cookin up some goodness over at dad's house,and I am sooo excited! Well, mainly to eat the goodness...but also to get my hands on how to MAKE the goodness...see...my dad was a chef..and he can COOK...but that's the problem...there are NO recipes...NONE...haha I think that's why it tastes so good...he really makes it from his heart...but that does diddly squat for my sister and I...I mean a sprinkle to most means a SPRINKLE...but my dad's sprinkle of cumin was well..what I would call 2 tablespoons haha anyway...

Rosh Hashanah is a two-day extravaganza....in Hebrew, Rosh Hashanah means the "Head of the Year," and is really the beginning of the Jewish year...

This is where I get to ask G-d for any forgiveness..not that I did anything wrong haha...but it  is truly a renewal...it's like I get to start over...which is totally freeing and always seems to come at the perfect time. Tonight we get to eat and share with friends and family. Oh, and my grandpa is going to join us which is even more special!

...and that was your  lesson for the day...

This was the Anniversary of PBR Rock Bar we attended a couple of weeks ago for a Sister Night...Yeah... we had such a  good time..it was so nice out on the patio...the weather is definitely getting cooler so that's exciting..but not quite FALL haha We also stuffed our face...being able to sit outside on a patio in Vegas is sooo nice...especially when you are not sweating your butt off...though I think our faces are a little shiny :O) haha

As you can see I am still loving this color blocking business...and I think I will carry it into my Fall wardrobe too...until I get sick of it of coarse....

Don't forget to check out the Fall Fashion ladies...I am slightly jealous of the boot wearing and scarf wrapping going on ladies...just sayin...our time will come...

PBR Rock Bar and Grill opened a little over a year ago and has been a success ever since...With more flat screen tv's than you can imagine, an outdoor patio that offers a view of the strip, PBR has to be one of my favorite places to hang out here in Vegas. I mean where else can you meet a playboy playmate, watch people ride a mechanical bull, and eat cheesy grits and

Dorito Crusted Mac-N-Cheese? haha

Located in the newly renovated Planet Hollywood, PBR, I'm sure will remain a great go to for sports fans and well, locals like myself...So if you are in town, remember to come and check it out...but please...don't ride the bull if you have been drinking...it never end well haha
