This week has gone by so fast...tonight we are celebrating my grandpa's birthday...he will be 86 August 3rd...He is so strong...it will be nice to have everyone together, I know how much he will appreciate it.....

The hubby has been working diligently on assisting me with my little project...i.e. video....he created a demo and I almost fell off the couch...if it didn't have some "for my wife only" content I would show you guys...let's just say it included a lot of winking, Jodeci, and slow motion...hahaha anyway...see that poll on the side of the page? I need you guys to help me out and let me know what you would like to see first?

I will post my first preview on Monday's Thrifters Anonymous meeting so get your stuff together and don't forget to link up and show some love for all that do!!!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend...I plan on it...I will remind myself every hour that it is the weekend....that way it's not Monday and I am wondering what the heck I did!

Comment of the Week...July 29, 2011

Funny Comments!
So in case you missed last Friday's Comment of the Week check it out here! In honor of all of the amazing new friends I have met, I have decided to feature one of you who made me smile or laugh throughout the week. I really can't thank everyone enough for their support especially when I get all sappy or need to release some ANGER! I love all of you!
So this weeks comment of the week goes to...
EVERYONE! ok everyone from THIS post...
So normally every Friday I thank one of you friends for making me laugh...and then there are times that I thank one of you for making me smile....this week I wouldn't say there was a funny comment but so much support and kind words...and I don't think I could have gone through it so well without you! So instead of choosing ONE of you I chose ALL of you....I wanted to thank these amazing ladies below....I love all of their blogs, some I have just recently been introduced to, and some are best friends...all of you are awesome...thank you!

Aww Shana. It is true, my parents still miss my grandmas and my grandpa even still misses his mom. There is no replacement for a lost parent. All we can do is love those ones we have still. My heart goes out to you. Sophia

Awww Shana boo...I want to give you a big hug and wipe away your tears and tell you that its going to be okay...that your mom is looking down on you, smiling because you're beautiful, because you have taken this tragic incident and from it you've created a very powerful outlet that inspires so many of us each day. I know it's hard and it's perfectly normal to think about her everyday. Just remember that she's safe and in a much better place than here. Smooches hun. Keep your head held high! http://thriftyandshameless.blogspot.com

Thinking of you, dear. I'm sure it will never get any easier, but how lucky you are to have found an outlet that helps you express yourself and still feel a connection to your mom :) xox, Cee

Can I first say..THANK YOU to my friends and my family who reached out to me yesterday..the emails, the phone calls, and to all my blogger friends...you have no idea how much it means to me..all of your comments, the stories you shared...it truly means a lot...and helped me through a tough day...so..THANK YOU!!! I blogged and totally forgot to post it!

Now on to one of my favorite places in Las Vegas! I was born here...I know... my family came from all over the world...and me...VEGAS...but I LOVE it here and there are so many beautiful places...that are FAR AWAY from the "strip".....so I wanted to venture off and share a piece of Vegas with all of you who may have never been here...or just didn't have the time...

We are on the road to RED ROCK in this picture...I live very close to this location and that was one of my pre-requisites for a house...I wanted to face the mountains...that and a big fat game room, a room for all of my crafts and mild case of "hoarders" and an awesome guest bedroom for all of my family and friends who come visit. Our balcony to our master faces these mountains...and it's perfect...

We seriously have one of the best sunsets here...we will have some pics of the sunset when we visit Boulder City soon...but here you can see the mountains in the background...and well the horseback riding... rock climbing (which is known to be the best in the world as far as trails go), the star gazing..and the random donkey sightings...

Horseback Riding

The mountains make me feel safe...and this my friends is one of my favorite places to go with the hubby...we take our boo boo's (sophie and sampson) our two labs and we go on walks and talk..it's free and ..it isn't a lot but it's special...and we cherish it almost every Sunday...ok I lie..it has been a couple of Sunday's since we have been sooo busy...but we shall resume this weekend....I can't lie...I think the husband reads my blog sometimes...haha
