Confessions of a Boudoir Spokesmodel: Finding the right bra for the right fit

 http://www.hauteshots.com

Well hello there lovelies. Today we are going to talk about BRAS and Breasts...he he he I know, it's a little racy but heck...we all wear bras...and well some of us should any way...haha I am absolutely in love with these photos from my recent shoot with Haute Shots Boudoir Photography for WPPI here in VEGAS!!! In these photos I am actually wearing a set from H&M, yep...and it fits incredibly well AND I feel sexy...AND it was a total of $20. More on that below. To see more of the shoot head on over to Stacie Fraziers blog where she recaps our adventure and showcases some of her best work yet...I may be partial since I am in the pics haha but really...Stacie is on FIRE and I am so excited to see what this next year will bring! One of the best boudoir photographers around...hands down. Now on to bras!

It is no secret that women wear bras...and it is no secret that with the amount of styles, brands, and sizes of women there are...you can imagine the confusion that sets in when on the hunt. I don't particularly have a hard time when looking for supportive bras if you know what I mean.. TOO much information maybe? Well, haha then you might want to stop reading now. I know so many women who do struggle though and have to actually custom order their bras to get the right fit and even still are not happy! Since working as the Haute Shots Boudoir Photography Spokes model I have found myself on a hunt more often than before...and through the examination of pictures I have discovered what kind of bra I like to WEAR and what kinda of bra I like to be photographed in.

I know it sounds a little odd...but what I have come to discover is that if the bra is comfortable and fits your body it doesn't mean it is giving your BREASTS the appropriate support or even look that you want. I was given an opportunity to chat with Tomima Edmark, founder of HerROOM.com, an online lingerie boutique, where women of all sizes can shop for intimates, shapewear, sleepwear, even sexy lingerie and swimwear from over 200 name brands. With photographs of each item, from every point of view and even a tab that allows you to see what the bra would look like with different necklines...you literally don't have to leave your house to shop. You might know Tomima from the ever so famous Topsy Tail...I had hair down to my butt growing up and this was my mother's best kept secret! Tomima took a few minutes to chat with me about bras and how HerRoom has brought the frustrating world of ill fitting bras to a holt and enabled women to find EXACTLY what they are looking for.She knew that she could help women of all sizes look and feel more confident by helping and educating them.

I, like most women, often don't like change...for a while I would just go to Victorias Secret grab the same "t-shirt" bra that fit me last time..spend $45 and leave with a free tote I will never use and a random lotion that has sparkles in it. Don't get me wrong..VS has beautiful lingerie and bras but there is a world outside of it...I also realized that they don't necessarily use the same sizing standards as other manufacturers so that is why you find that you may be one size there but not the same at other places...or maybe I just need to measure myself every time... If you don't know how to measure Click below and you will see EXACTLY how to measure yourself.
Most of you know I am a lover Designer finds at  Discounted Deals...With more designers reaching the local discounted retailers like Marshalls, H&M and Target...women have access to those brands we love and can now say YES to them. There is definitely a sense of confidence you get when you are wearing a bra you feel supported in and SEXY in...and why can't you have both? Now I know that a bra is an investment and while I love deals, I usually find myself splurging on undergarments...with an occasional H&M and Marshalls find.
And while most find that it is not the same value I beg to differ...since I am in these garments more than the average women I will say that some of my favorites are from discounted retailers...but that doesn't go without saying, that YOU MUST have a foundation of bras in your closet that fit your breast size...and thank you to Tomima for creating this Chart below that will help you go after the  bra you are looking for.
Tomima has specifically layed out which bra works for which breast size and how the bra will, for lack of better words, display your breasts...no one ever talks about that really...I mean a push up bra is obvious since it screams cleavage...but did you know that a T-shirt bra typically is geared toward more conical breasts...too much info again? no but really...this little graphic above has me thinking alot about my breasts haha and well has you guys thinking about my breasts now too....that just got awkward...either way...I am heading over to HerRoom to try some on. You are going to love the SEE IT UNDER side bar...It will literally show you what that bra looks like underneath a button down, scoop neck, v-neck...I hope to have more of a formal interview with Tomima and let you guys know how HerRoom worked...but until then let me know how you guys feel about this topic and if I am the only one that hasn't really experimented with different types of bras. Thank you Tomima for your time and I will be back with what kind of BRA fits my Breast type...haha in case you wanna know.
You can check out Tomima's blog HERE! She just wrote a great article about why you SHOULD wear a bra...check it out! and share the love let her know I sent you!

I will keep you guys posted!
xoxo

Compression Obsession

Outfit Details
Athletics8 Racer Back Tank: c/o The Marena Group
Athletics8 Capris: c/o The Marena Group
Nike Shoes: Marshalls

I have to admit, when I get contacted by a company to review a product or in this case wear a certain product I am always hesitant as I will typically not show it or review it if I don't feel as though it is any good...I was contacted by the Marena group a couple of months back and I was able to choose a few pieces from their Athletics8 collection. I was pretty excited since I spend 90% of my time in workout gear.
I hadn't heard about this company so I did a little research. What I found out was not only does the Marena group make these exclusively patented compression garments but they are more well known for their Body Shaping line Vera Vasi...yep...you heard me! umm so naturally I was intrigued...I mean a company that makes body shaping anything that also makes workout clothes has to be all about SHAPING THIS BODY!
The FIT
I received the top and the capris fairly quickly and I immediately wore the capris to the gym that night. At first I wasn't sure how this was gonna go...but I knew...that NOTHING was moving...haha I was like a nicely packed sausage in those capris...after about 30 minutes of my workout I noticed they were starting to settle in...hard to explain but I was feeling like they were opening up if you will...and not as restricting...I was also not used to any sort of pants that literally allowed for now JIGGLE or WIGGLE room if you know what I mean...I think I was more confident running that track than I had ever been before...
The tank was my next test and well that one wasn't as easy. I tried to get it on but the small was a tad too tight...I probably could have gotten it on but I am almost positive I would have needed reinforcement to remove it...so I contacted Marena Group and they sent me a Medium! umm so awesome right...I mean these pieces are not cheap let me tell you but I will say this, I may be a thrifter but when it comes to my hair, my make up, or my workout gear, I am willing to invest...did I mention shoes...haha hey that is what I have Marshalls for.
The FEELING
Anyway back to the tank..I wore it actually with the pants to go for a HIIT ( High Intesity Interval Training)  special I had been wanting to do over the weekend. I don't want to sound over dramatic but I kinda felt like I was a super hero....haha I know...not quite but I was FLYING when I was sprinting...as if all my muscles were where they needed to be...all I needed was those feet shoes and I could have been NAKED...ok...Almost naked...but you get what I mean. I am sure I could wear the tank separately with shorts as it starts to get warmer but I feel like I have more POWER when they are together haha I know...I get way to excited for this stuff...
The FACTS
I honestly never thought I would want to wear anything that mentions medical grade COMPRESSING anything on me...until I met Athletics8. I had no idea that COMPRESSION material was meant to aid in your holding your muscles in the ideal postiion as you move while your circulatory system is reaping the benefits...who knew...Aside from keeping you cool and bacteria free..unlike cotton...there was actually a clinical study they quote that there is a "27% reduction of impact of force by Atgeltics8 garments maintaining specific levels of compression. I mean crap...I wish I could wrap my whole body in this stuff...My ankles and knees are starting to give me problems when I sprint...and this could be my solution.

Anyway, all in all I must say my eyes have been open to a whole new world of Compression....and I am happy to say that on my HITT days and Sprinting days I am sporting my A8 as they call them...I am wanting to now try the sports bra...I mean..can you imagine...haha I don't have a lot going on up there if you know what I mean but I can imagine that it would be a good idea to compress it. SO, if you are looking for workout clothes that hold you in, keep you cool, and well make you feel like a super hero...then check these guys out. Did I say they have UVP protection? I know!!! haha I live in Vegas....it's important.

I will see if they can offer a discount code to all of you to try them out...I am sure these will last me years to come...let me know if you guys have any questions...and if you want to see more reviews like this! I am working on a video for my Health and Fitness Youtube channel Shana Emily as well!

XOXO

You can never have enough sequins...EVER

Outfit Details
Vintage Sequins: c/o Vintage Swank
Shorts: Thrifted Goodwill
Heels: Target
Ring: Jewelmint

I know. I know. The sleeves...the color...SEQUINS. Between my friend Edwina and I, we both have enough sequins to cover a cheer leading squad. Every time we have to let one go it hurts the same...I know..you would think one would have enough sequins but I am not sure there is such a thing. When I got this vintage beauty from Vintage Swank I squealed...my hubby looked at me and goes "umm don't you have like 15 of those tops" UM NO...NO vintage sequin top is alike...and this one is hands down one of my favorites...it's actually surprisingly light in weight...and the colors just scream Summer...ok maybe they don't scream...but they definitely get your attention...I love the pink...and I love the sleeves...I swear each blouse like this tells a story and while my love for thrifting is evident...another reason I love it so much is that each is so unique and so individual... I am sooo impressed with this sites sequin collection...dresses...blouses....and this one was in such good condition...I mean even the shoulder pads were kept well haha

So if you find that you never see these at the thrift store or maybe they are priced way too high...head on over to Vintage Swank and take a bid at one of these lovelies...you will not be disappointed...I promise! Don't forget to also head on over to American Fashion Fox their other online collection!

Boyfriend Jeans: Thrifted Savers
Stuart Weitzman Heels: Thrifted Savers
Clutch: Thrifted Savers
Small Rings: H&M
Vintage Ring: My Mom's

FINALLY! I can breathe..my nose is not a snotty mess...and I don't sound like a 1-800 lady of the night...seriously...I was so sick and I can't tell you how happy I am to back amongst the living...I haven't gotten sick since I started training with my coach...but I guess this flu was stronger than all my vitamins and clean eating...and sadly I gave it to my hubby...aww well... Let's talk about my obsession with this white jacket and white anything for that matter....I have been so drawn to white...maybe it's the heat..the sun...or just the idea that I could actually keep it clean longer than a day and half...white just screams fresh and young to me...and this jacket makes me happy...Mickey also makes me happy haha

I am excited for the summer and I am excited to start making some new goals for myself...with Passover coming and the start of what I like to call the race against the heat...I always make a list of goals for the summer...I mean...I miss SUMMER...remember how in school you couldn't wait for summer...it was like this period of time where everything just seemed carefree...and stress free...then you turned 25 and POOF....Summer was that time of the year where the sun came out and you did the same thing you did when it didn't...I guess you could call that adulthood.. well..I am taking a stance and making it a point to celebrate summer every weekend....yep..I don't care if I sit outside in a lawn chair and read a magazine for 4 minutes since that is about all I could handle in this Vegas heat....haha So watch out...Bikinis...BBQ...and lots of summery things...are coming my way! Do you guys have this same feeling or am I just over reacting a little bit? haha Make sure to check out PersunMall for some fun finds for Summer...or if you are in a state that experiences Spring...then you will love their dresses!!!

XOXO
