Who would have thought my favorite color would be mustard? Ok, not favorite...I will reserve that for everything that is blue...but I can't seem to get enough of this color that used to only represent that somewhat spicy topping you put on your hot dog or burger? I never even thought it would look good on me...but I LOVE...and every time I see something in this color I get it...especially if it is old...and thrifted...it's like the room goes silent...so what I am trying to tell you is...I will be wearing a lot of mustard...and they are not all the same..I promise...though the hubby seems to think that one mustard item is enough...what does he know..he wears a tuxedo t-shirt...and is currently walking around with a hole on the bottom of his shoes...silly...

Is it too early for Sequins?

The day before Thanksgiving, P.E. and I decided that we both were in much need of a vent and laugh session...oh we also housed that flat bread pizza and wine you see above. It was casual day and what better day than to wear SEQUINS!!!!! Some boutique browsing, photo shoots by the fountain, followed by this Thrifters Anonymous meeting at the Goodwill, I would say that we were both cured of whatever it was that was making us not so much ourselves...good friends are hard to come by...and when you come by one...try to laugh as much as possible...cuz when we are all wrinkly and not so fabulous...the laughter I'm sure will be the one thing that will feel the same....and with our birthdays looming around the corner...P.E. and I better keep laughing...haha Thanks P.E. for making my day just a little bit brighter and a tad bit inappropriate in public...and for rockin the sequins...Oh, and to answer your question...NO it is never too early for sequins...NEVER....

Thanksgiving at the Kilbourn's

It was such a pleasure hosting Thanksgiving this year...it is a small tradition the hubby and I started about 2 years ago, we have a Thanksgiving dinner at our house on Friday night...where we are all able to eat TOGETHER... ONE meal...and stay until the sun comes up! Usually everyone has too many houses to go to, and ends up eating like 3 meals and not enjoying any...Who needs to give thanks on a specific day...it's all the same in my book. We stuffed our face with Dad's homemade gravy...which should win some sort of Gravy contest..if there was one...Sister helped make the house a home, and single handedly decked the dessert table to the max, adding a French Apple pie her boyfriend so graciously brought over after she forgot it! My aunt made her amazing stuffing, cousins brought some pies and specialty drinks, Debbie brought carmelized apples, I made two turkeys, homemade cranberry sauce, pumpkin bread, and my carrots and parsnips, and my papa sat at the head of the table to enjoy the meal. After dinner one of my dearest friends came over to enjoy S'mores, and sat in the backyard that my hubby transformed into this amazing lounge!
Aside from the massive oven fire my hubby started with the spanakopita and the malfunctioning of the chocolate fountain that my sister's amazing boyfriend resuscitated...the evening was perfect...

P.E. and I LOVE LOVE sequins...we even wore it on casual Friday...cuz it's never too early for sequins..or late... I love that Mandy paired it with boots and military inspired jacket...so chic....Mandy, you and your little family are adorable...thank you so much for becoming a member...I just found myself scrolling through all of your pics..and cute outfits....LOVE that you woke at 4am to go to the mall and left your fam sleeping....When you thrift, even black Friday doesn't seem like a deal! haha But I LOVE that Ann Taylor Loft Top! P.E. stopped in at the Goodwill on Rainbow and Cheyenne. It is super tiny which is perfect when you don't have a lot of time and a small budget!...all white tags were 25% off and blue were 50% off....we didn't get everything below...but a few things...I also got the hubby a really cute tie.

I really liked this vintage top...I was thinking maybe I could wear it with leggings or something as a dress?


P.E. found this top...I really kinda liked it..she did too....


I loved this sweater...but ended up not getting it cuz I found a vintage sweater dress as I was leaving! maybe I will do a quick video of what I got.


I really want a jacket like this but it was $20....so no go..
