With Mother's Day fast approaching I can't help but find myself thinking of my mom, dreaming of my mom, and being thankful for Husbands Mom. With that being said, my mom, was sooo beautiful and was  my source and inspiration for fashion. She literally could put a t-shirt on and look like she was going to some fancy gala. I swear she had some sort of wind machine on her at all times. She would walk into the room and with perfect placement, the wind would blow and she would look stunning. I am going to have to find some pics to show you guys..seriously...ughh anyway, with all of the amazing items she owned my sister and I happened to get our hands on some of her amazing pieces, and through this fashion blogging I have decided to showcase something of hers at every chance I get. And not because it was just my mom's but because I absolutely love all of her pieces and they truly reflect my style.

As a little girl I admired this bag from afar. It was one of my favorites. No name inside, this bag serves as one of my favorite clutches.

I must admit, even after I didn't think I would care, I found myself watching Kate and William. Yep, I cried, I smiled, and I admired this fairytale that was happening before our eyes. More importantly I felt as though I could relate to William in losing his mother, though I had mine at my wedding, I can't help but think of how I will react at my sisters. Anyway, I heart Kate...her style, her grace..and the fact she just freaking married a prince! haha

Sorry for not posting this yesterday, I think I finally realized what happens when you don't get enough sleep...and let me just tell you it's not good! I am EXHAUSTED! oh and I need to get photoshop, I was playing around me that picnik thingy on Flickr...so that is why the pics look different, oh and I need a new camera! STAT!

P.S. ONLY 3 Moredays untill my THANK YOU to everyone for being so amazing Trashy Vintage Giveaway is over! So ENTER HERE and GOOD LUCK!!!

There are some pretty awesome new pieces on her EBAY so check it!

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Top: Banana Republic (last Decemeber)
Bracelet: Thrifted
Earrings: F21
Belt: Took it from one of my dresses :O)
I'm still not completely sold on these witch/pilgrim shoes but I love them. Does that make sense? haha I hate it when you have something in your closet that you really like and hate it at the same time. I do LOVE this old fashioned skirt. I got it at Savers of course for like $3 and when I initially tried it on it wouldn't zip...that was when I was getting my masters..and wrote papers and never moved for a year and a half! I like to think I am continuing to drop the lbs..it has definitely been a struggle but I'm gonna keep goin..anyway..this top is from Banana Republic, on sale, but it is quite obvious that I am what you would call cheap frugal, and I really don't like paying more than $10 for anything.unless it is my make up, which is almost triple the price of 90% of my CLOSET! Anyway, back to the top...it was $18, I know it doesn't sound like a lot, but I also bought THESE shoes for $10 from there, so it just makes me mad sometimes how things are priced!
Can I just say once again, I am so humbled by all of the comments all of you sweets have been leaving? I mean seriously, I really wish there was more time in the day and I could actually visit every single one of you!!

Since I am still new to this blogging world, and since I don't know all of you, I am asking if you could introduce yourself and tell me who you are so I can get to know you, and everyone else can too! Just leave it in the comment section it will be fun. K I will start

"Hi my name is Shana, I was born and raised in Vegas, I am not a stripper though I dance, I love my family, music, vintage, and my boo boos (my 2 labs Sophie and Sampson & 2 cats Oscars and Sasha)...I am loving blogging as it is getting me to really dig deep into my closet and enjoy all of the amazing pieces I have found over the years and I have been gifted. I love my husband and can't wait to start a family and look like some of you fabulous mommies who are rockin skinny jeans and stiletto's...to many more posts, comments and inspiration to be had by all . The END"

Bow Ring: Banana Republic
Last night was the last night of Passover! We had such an amazing night as my dad had some special gift certs and we played tourist! Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris and a helicopter ride through Vegas...We even did the prayer at the table...I will post some pics to my facebook if anyone is interested! Sometimes I wish I was a tourist cuz boy is it amazing here...the food was delicious...though I must tell ya.. with not eating yeast or wheat all week I have noticed I feel so good...not tired...and no stomach aches..for a while I thought that was totally normal..umm duh...no...WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME! So I have decided I need to get checked out and find out what I am allergic to, cuz this is getting a tad bit ridiculous!

I found this dress at Savers as well as this lovely scarf and belt! I'm tellin ya people...old lady scarves are seriously the best...and this isn't even a scarf but more of a shawl of some sort...I especially loved the color and the fringe! Today was Bows and Magenta collaboration! My bow tie earrings were $.99 from a Goodwill in Seattle! We choose a theme almost every night. You should try this...find a friend to do it with or just do it yourself. But the night before tell yourself you have to wear something with "____" and then wear it. I mean I forgot I even bought this dress untill I was searching for something magenta...so tell yourself you have to wear olive green and go for it..you will have a lot of fun wiht your closet I PROMISE!

I have to tell you I was gifted these shoes about 3 years ago...I have NEVER worn them..hence the fact that I am taking pics of all my shoes to place in my clear boxes so I can actually see what the heck I have. I have about 150 pairs of shoes as of yet...and I love them all...anyway...these Steve Maddens are so comfy and I love the fact that they are sexy but work appropriate..yeah..that is the hard part of these outfits everyday..I still have to work people..in a predominantly male environment with suits and ties..so to say I push the envelope is an understatement. But no one has said anything yet, so I will keep going with it!

On to my Trashy Vintage pick of the day! Once again I have extended my Giveaway co-sponsored by Trashy Vintage so don't forget to enter!
5 More days left!

Can I just say that I was so excited to get organized yesterday! I figured out what to do with my jewelry, my headbands, I color coded my clothes, boxed all my shoes and took pictures of each of them..dusted..I mean it was definitely not like me, so I am not sure what I was running away from..but Husband sure was happy. I had about 3 bags of clothes to giveaway and it felt really good..maybe I just felt guilty for my impromptu Savers run on Saturday.

Anyway, the wind was in full affect today, so it is still a little chilly at night, but I am excited for summer! I have officially decided that I think adults should have summer break! I mean...don't you remember when you were young and you couldn't wait for summer...now it just comes...you are hot..and that is it...no more anticipation...something is lost...so what about pool parties every weekend, movie nights, road trips, and lots of popsicles...games, and just plain fun this summer...maybe if I think like this it will feel better, we shall see!

By the way, I found this skirt at Goodwill for a $1...I thought for sure it looked ridiculous..but a $1...so when photographer extraordinaire told me that she wanted today's theme to be a mix of patterns...I thought I would try it out! I like it!
P.S. I have decided to extend my giveaway...not really a specific reason other than I can...and Trashy Vintage is launching more items to their ebay store...and I am kinda of loving the tease of great finds to all! So The Giveaway is being EXTENDED...so GET ON IT! and thank you for all of your support...I need to come visit all of I have just had not time!!! GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED
So for now here is my Trashy Vintage pick of the day!
Love this vintage 90d grunge revival dress! The orange and grey are so pretty!!!
Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Hi, My Name is {Your Name HERE} I am addicted to Thrifting!
Grab a button and come to a meeting!

Thrifters Anonymous

It is Monday, and I have decided that Mondays seem like the best day to link up to Thrifters Anonymous..so that being said, I will try this out every Monday!

Budget was $30 so we had to really go through everything!
This is what we put back! Can't wait to show you guys what I got!
So as you can see we went on an unexpected trip to Savers this weekend. I have a photo shoot coming up and was wanting to see if I could find things that I have put on my "I need this" list. And sure enough..I literally found EVERYTHING on my list..and it was within budget! I can't wait to show you guys! For more updates on our thrifting adventures or just plain silliness check out my Facebook, I will do my best to let you guys know about any sales or fun things going on!

If you are wondering, I have a Thrifters Anonymous Wanted Link Up to the left and you can find amazing links to Thrifter Anonymous Members! Check them out!!!

The Thrifters Anonymous Member of the Week goes to
Miss Rockwell @ Lifestyles of the Thrifty and Shameless!

{Lifestyles of the Thrifty and Shameless }

Not only do I love Miss Rockwell and her thrifty style, she managed to find a vintage Christian Dior for $5!!! Now that is a find Miss Rockwell!. Her outfit was a $21.97-and in Miss Rockwell's eyes that is the price of 2 glasses of Moscato plus a tip! haha I love her sense of humor and I love her blog! She finds ways to thrift on all aspects of her life and that makes her one of my favorite Thrifters Anonymous Members! So go on over to her blog and show her some love!
Ok it is your turn folks...link up your finds, creations, ideas or just your cute self and let's get to inspiring..no rules and I promise you will all remain anonymous ;O)

Shoes: Seychelles Nordstroms Rack
Pants: NY & Company Thrifted
Belt: Desert Industries Thrifted
Blouse: Vintage Thrifted (Removed Shoulder Pads)
Necklace: Vintage Thrifted
Sunglasses: Michael Kors Marshalls
What should I do with all the shoulder pads I have collected? Haha I was thinking of throwing that out there cuz there has to be something cool I could do with them. They are all different colors and I just keep throwing them in the craft room when I remove them from all of these shirts! I really love these old blouses, they always fit me and I find them in such vibrant colors...so next time you go to a thrift store...just look for bright, shoulder paddy, blouses and you will be very happy :O)

These pants were waaaay to short when I got them so I got them lengthened at the swap meet, $5...I think I mentioned this before..but when you find pants that fit you and that you like, don't discount them if they are too short...they can be lenthened as long as there is like an inch of fabric behind. The seamstress can basically just add some material behind it..it's pretty amazing..and has really changed my life...I always find myself buying a size up to get pants longer...and then they fit baggy...and let's face it..I got myself a booty and who wants to hide it under fabric...haha

I have had a really nice weekend, incredible workout, amazing thrifting finds for an upcoming photo shoot, and great friends and family fun on game night. Which by the way..I really need to start playing more games...I don't know any of them!!! we spent half the time reading the rules! lame right...ughh...the only game we really played growing up was monopoly and it lasted for like 2 weeks...we were pretty competitive.

So I was thinking I might extend the Trashy Vintage Giveaway, since I'm not sure if I am really good at letting people know it is even happening...is a week for a giveaway too short? I'm new at this so I wasn't sure...would love some advice...

Well here is my pick of the day from Trashy Vintage!

Pick of the Day

I am loving the colors in this maxi! and Bustier!!!

Have a wonderful rest if your weekend!
